Åhus Beachhandboll Festival is Europe’s largest beachhandball tournament. During 10 days over 1 000 teams, 10 000 players and 2300 leaders gather here on the beach of Åhus, Sweden.
We are happy to welcome EBT to be a part of our festival for the first time since we founded our festival in 1997.
To celebrate this we offer all EBT-teams their registration fee free of charge.

About the festival
A unique experience
During the festival’s ten days, handball clubs gather here for a unique game-experience. In total, over 1400 teams come from all over Sweden and Europe to play beachhandball and have fun together in the sand.
The venue
Åhus Beach is one of the world’s most beautiful venue. We are building an entire handball village with restaurants, team tents, 19 playing courts and activity stands on the event beach in Åhus. Everything is gathered in one and the same festival area right by the sea!
The stars are here
Here you meet the handball stars, whether they play in the elite or just enjoy the handball party. Kim Andersson, Jim Gottfridsson, Hanna Blomstrand are some of the proffessional handball profiles who visit us every year.
The finals
In the evening everyone meets at the heart of the festival, the center court, for the finals. The crowd of supporters cheers, the flags are moving through the air with the music and light show. Playing and experiencing a final on Åhus Beach is, to say the least, a memory for life.
Much to do
Action from morning to evening. The beach is loaded with activities and memorable experiences throughout the festival for all ages.
Good vibes
Whether it’s final game with packed stands, a good atmosphere and lots of fun. Åhus Beach Handball is a unique folk festival and a result of the community that exists through the love of handball.

The Tournament

ABOUT THE ACCOMODATION

Åhus Beach Team Housing is available for accommodation for the entire team when you visit this summer’s tournament. You live in brand new classrooms (hard surface floors). As a team, you can live up to 15 people here per classroom. Free parking is also included at the team accommodation and at the tournament area.
The newly built school is only 3 km from the event area. There are nice walking and cycling paths between the school and the event area. There is access to shower facilities at the property. Each player brings their own mattress, duvet, pillow, bed linen and towel.
